When is insert mode, you can do filename completion by simply hitting CTRL-X and then CTRL-F. A list of matches will come up and then use CTRL-F to cycle through them to choose the filename you want.
Similarly, CTRL-P is used for single word completion. It scans the document you are editing for matches and presents them to you.
This is an extremely handy trick!
